Susan & Paul

It's surprising how much "care" grown kids still need ... including helping all the college students. So Susan is still very much an involved Mom, from helping with personal plans, dating discussions, life's big decisions, and more.

Recently, Susan's work has been in special education, helping teach children with learning and reading challenges. She found tremendous satisfaction ... but she was unable to make many key decisions on curriculum and schedules, only because she lacked a degree.

So Susan has returned to college, and is a full-time student. Rather than attend on campus, she is able to do distance learning, and she visits campus only as needed.

Her goal is to get a teaching certificate and become the teacher and specialist for special education. She has made many good contacts in the school district, and anticipates good opportunities in the near future.

Paul really enjoys time with family. There is nothing he would rather do than have a big family dinner and talk with the kids about their interests and activities. Of course, it's not all "talking" ... there seems to be plenty of joking and general goofiness at our house. Imagine that!

Other family activities include short local trips, shotgun shooting, occasional hikes, and going to nearby events.
